چکیده

Different kinds of unit testing activities are used in practice. Organised unit testing (regression testing or test-first activities) are very popular in commercial practice, while ad-hoc (interactive) testing is popular in small scale and experimental development environments and teaching situations. These testing styles are usually kept separate. This paper introduces a design and implementation of a system that combines these testing styles to create a tool for new testing activities that both communities – professional and educational – may benefit from.

IFAS: Interactive flexible ad hoc simulator

Ad Hoc networks are characterized by fast dynamic changes in the topology of the network. Introduction of new routing algorithms requires a deep and trustworthy evaluation process. In this paper we describe an Interactive Flexible Ad Hoc Simulator (IFAS) that presents a modern and novel approach to the family of Ad Hoc simulators. This simulator supports unique viewing, debugging, tuning and in...

Assessment of DSACC and QPART Algorithms in Ad Hoc Networks

The rapid advancement in wireless over wired has augmented the need for improving theQuality of Service (QoS) over such wireless links. However, the wireless ad hoc networkshave too low bandwidth, and establishing a QoS in these networks is a difficult issue. So,support of quality of service in ad hoc networks is the topical issue among the networkscience researchers. In this research we are go...

Ad Hoc Software Testing

An ad hoc test can be described as an exploratory case that you expect to run only once, unless it happens to uncover a defect. As such, ad hoc testing is sometimes viewed as a wasteful approach to software testing. On the other hand, many skilled software testers find the exploratory approach to be one of the best techniques for uncovering certain types of defects. In this paper we’ll put ad h...

ADAPTIVE ORDERED WEIGHTED AVERAGING FOR ANOMALY DETECTION IN CLUSTER-BASED MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKS

In this paper, an anomaly detection method in cluster-based mobile ad hoc networks with ad hoc on demand distance vector (AODV) routing protocol is proposed. In the method, the required features for describing the normal behavior of AODV are defined via step by step analysis of AODV and independent of any attack. In order to learn the normal behavior of AODV, a fuzzy averaging method is used fo...

Axiom - based Unit Testing

This chapter presents a case-study of how the abstractions and infrastructure discussed in Part III and Part IV of this dissertation may be applied to source code analysis and interactive code generation. The motivation for the case study prototype, an interactive unit test generator, is that current unit testing methodologies often result in poor test coverage due to rather ad-hoc approaches.
